Related Hitch Cargo Carrier Accesssories
There are a number of popular accessories designed for use with ROLA hitch cargo carriers and ROLA cargo racks that are made by other companies. If you're considering purchasing a ROLA Adventure System cargo carrier, be sure to check out the following accessories.
The most popular hitch cargo carrier accessory is the Locking Hitch Pin. This simple, effective hitch lock will secure your hitch rack to your trailer hitch. Another popular accessory for use with Rola Cargo Carriers is the Hitch-Coupling Tightener. Because Rola Adventure System Carriers are able to support so much weight, there is a chance that the carrier might wobble when fully loaded. The Hitch-Coupling Tightener eliminates any wobble, play or vibration, securing your hitch rack to your vehicle's hitch with heavy-duty hardware. These two accessories are must-haves for Hitch Cargo Carrier owners.
Also, does your vehicle have a Flat 4 electrical system? If not, you might need one of the following electrical adapters:
How do I know what kind of electrical system my vehicle has?
Most SUVs come standard with what is called a "Flat 4" system. If you look at the input on your vehicle, you should see a rectangle with 4 contact points aligned in a row if you have a Flat 4. There are also "4 Round", "6 Round" and "7 Round" systems. A 4 Round system has a 2x2 grid of contact points. A 6 Round system has a circle of 5 contact points with the 6th contact point inside the circle. A 7 Round system has a circle of 6 contact points with the 7th contact point inside the circle. Most hitch cargo carriers and racks that have tail lights will use a 4 Flat system. If you find that your vehicle has a round setup (4 pin, 6 pin or 7 pin), be sure to purchase the appropriate adapter to ensure that the tail lights on your hitch carrier or hitch rack will function properly.
