What kinds of ROLA Adventure Systems are there?
You can purchase the ROLA Adventure System in two different styles: a Swingaway frame style and a tilting frame style. The ROLA Swingaway Adventure System is similar to StowAway2 Swingaway Cargo Carriers in that its frame pivots away from your vehicle to allow full access to your rear cargo area. The tilting model is a unique design in that the carrier box can be removed and the tray can be folded up toward the vehicle for a lower-profile look when the carrier is not in use.
Why should I get the ROLA Swingaway Cargo Carrier?
ROLA offers both a tilting and a Swingaway Cargo Carrier. We recommend a Swing Away Cargo Carrier if you:
a) need access to the rear of your vehicle.
b) need to accommodate a rear-mounted spare tire or ladder.
c) demand high-end functionality and features.
Why should I get the ROLA Tilting Cargo Carrier?
ROLA offers both a tilting and a Swingaway Cargo Carrier. We recommend the Tilting Cargo Carrier if you:
a) don't need access to the rear of your vehicle when the box is attached.
b) are value-conscious: the tilting model is more economical.
c) plan to use the hitch cargo carrier sparingly or plan to remove your hitch cargo carrier from your hitch when you reach your destination.
