table key below for additional detail on rack features.
Table Key
|
|---|
| Capacity | "Capacity" refers to how many skis or snowboards the rack is designed to
carry. Capacity in the chart is displayed in pairs of skis/snowboards.
You can also carry a mix of skis and snowboards, but the capacity will
vary depending on how many of each you would like to carry and how wide
your boards/skis are. |
| Mounting | "Mounting" refers to how the ski or snowboard rack attaches to your
vehicle. Most ski and snowboard racks attach to crossbars (the bars that
run horizontally from the driver's side to the passenger side), but
some racks mount to side rails (the bars the run vertically from the
front to the back of the car) or to a smooth rooof with the use of
vehicle-specific fit hooks. |
| Locks | "Locks" refers to whether or not the gear is able to lock inside the rack for security purposes. |
| Extras | "Extras" refer to the accessories or stand-out features of a particular
ski rack. Common ski rack extras include height or angle adjustments of
the rack for better clearance issues if you have tall bindings and
slide-out trays for easier access. |
