-- Heavy-Duty Steel Construction: This frame weighs 25 pounds and features thick-walled steel tubing to maximize box stability.
-- Second Hitch Receiver: The Towing Frame features a second 2" hitch receiver that accommodates a towed vehicle or trailer behind the Stowaway2 Cargo Carrier.
-- High-Rise Design: For maximum ground clearance, the Towing frame features a rise that puts the bolting platform 9.5 inches above the bottom of your vehicle’s trailer hitch.
-- Bolting Platform: Features four bolting locations for easy-on/easy-off box attachment. Also features rear side reinforcements to distribute the weight of your gear.
-- This frame is great for towing lighter vehicles and trailer behind an SUV, RV, van or truck.
-- Because the Towing Frame has been exclusively designed and tested to best support towed weight (horizontal weight) and not tongue weight (vertical weight), we do not recommend inserting a bike rack into its second receiver.
-- A Hitch Coupling Tightener is included free with every Towing frame to reduce side-to-side wobble when the carrier is in use.
-- We recommend adding a second Hitch-Coupling Tightener to reduce wobble between the frame and your tow bar (shown below).
-- A hitch pin is included with this frame which will secure the frame into your vehicle’s hitch. We highly recommend upgrading to a Lockign Hitch Pin which will key-lock your frame to your vehicle’s hitch for maximum security. We also recommend adding a second Locking Hitch Pin to key-lock your towed vehicle’s tow bar into the Towing Frame’s hitch receiver (shown below).
