The Yakima MegaWarrior is Yakima's largest roof rack basket. It comes with tons of features included-- like a custom wind fairing to reduce noise and a moveable accessory bar to mount roof racks to-- and is made from heavy-duty steel. The Yakima MegaWarrior universally attaches Yakima cross bars, Thule load bars and most factory rack cross bars.

The Yakima Load Warrior Roof Basket
This roof basket is best for vehicles that are on the smaller side, like wagos, mid-size cars, minivans and smaller SUVs. Consider the Load Warrior Yakima's standard roof basket option. It can be outfitted with a stretch cargo net to secure your gear onto the basket or an extension kit that expands its capacity by 40% by adding 18" to the basket's length. The Load Warrior comes standard with a custom wind fairing to keep the wind noise down and features a universal attachment system for fitting Thule square load bars, Yakima round cross bars and factory rack cross bars. Worried about safety? You can add an optional locking bracket which will secure your Load Warrior onto your vehicle's roof rack.
The Yakima Mega Warrior Roof Basket
The Mega Warrior is similar to the Yakima Load Warrior in many ways, however it is designed for larger vehicles, such as mid to full sized SUVs. The Mega Warrior is huge, designed to carry all the bikes, skis, boats or luggage you can manage to bring with you when you travel. Like the Load Warrior, the Mega Warrior can be outfitted with a stretch cargo net to secure your gear onto the basket or an extension kit that expands its capacity by 40% by adding 22" to the basket's length. It can also be outfitted with an optional locking bracket which will secure your Mega Warrior onto your vehicle's roof rack. The Mega Warrior also comes standard with a custom wind fairing to keep the wind noise down and features a universal attachment system for fitting Thule square load bars, Yakima round cross bars and factory rack cross bars. Best of all, the MegaWarrior basket reack features a moveable accessory bar that allows you to mount bike, boat, snow and bag accessories to the roof basket rack. This, obviously, turns your roof basket rack into a multi-use cargo carrier.
The Yakima Basket Case Roof Basket
The Yakima Basket Case is perhaps Yakima's simplest roof basket rack. While it doesn't include all the features of the Mega Warrior and the Load Warrior, the BasketCase does feature an extremely low-profile which is very helpful if overhead clearance is an issue (parking garages, for example). The Basket Case is made from a durable vinyl-coated wire material and it criss-crosses in a grip shape to provide a sturdy base for loading all of your gear. You can outfit the Basket Case rack with a stretch net to secure your gear. The Basket Case basket rack is designed for use on Yakima roof base rack systems, however it can also be used on Thule square crossbars or factory racks with the use of Yakima MightyMounts (sold separately).
The Yakima Outdoorsman Roof Basket Racks
The Outdoorsman roof basket racks are designed for pickup trucks. Available in two sizes, one for compact trucks and the other for full size trucks, these roof supports attach to your truck bed rails. They are sold in a half-set, so you can attach towers to the truck's cab or get a full set and load both on the back of the truck's bed. For a full rack setup, you'll need to add Yakima round cross bars to support your roof basket rack. The best part about the Outdoorsman is that it will allow you to load your gear above your truck bed, freeing up room in the bed for even more gear. |
