Yakima Landing Pads provide a base for Yakima Control Towers if your vehicle doesn't have roof rack capability. Yakima Landing Pads are vehicle-specific. Yakima Control Towers will attach to your Yakima Landing Pads, replacing your factory rack system and serving as the base for a full Yakima multi-purpose roof rack.

-- Yakima Landing Pad 6 is designed for mounting to a fiberglass surface.

-- This set includes 2 pads and includes bolt hardware that will ensure attachment on fiberglass up to 1/2 inch thick.

-- Landing Pad 6 bolts into any fiberglass mounting surface that has underside access (truck shells, tonneau covers, etc.)

-- Landing Pad 6 bolts through the surface securing with a nut on the underside.

-- Using Yakima Control Towers allows you to carry the full catalogue of Yakima gear and accessories.

-- Includes a snap-on cover when not in use.

Yakima Permanent Base Racks are designed to fit vehicles that have no other way to support a Yakima Base Rack System. Often, they will require drilling into your vehicle. A Permanent Base Rack will act like a vehicle's factory base, allowing you to attach Yakima Towers and build your Yakima Base Rack system from there. Yakima Permanent base racks come in different styles, some designed for use with Fiberglass roofs and others for sheet metal roofs. Yakima also offers an innovative Wide Body Rain Gutter brackets that can be drilled into a camper shell or truck cap. This will allow you to use Yakima 1A Raingutter Towers and build your Yakima base rack system from there.
