The Yakima 1A HiRise Spacer Kit includes 3.5" aluminum spacers that raise the standard Yakima 1A Raingutter Towers to provide additional clearance for domed roofs and existing factory racks that interfere with Yakima roof racks.

Yakima gives you a number of roof rack great options if your vehicle does not have a factory rack but does have rain gutters. If your vehicle's roof extends quite a ways above your rain gutters or if your vehicle has a factory rack that interfers with your Yakima base rack system, it might be necessary to use the Yakima 1A HiRise Spacer Kit in combination with the Yakima 1A Raingutter Towers. The HiRise Spacer Kit offers 3.5 additional inches of vertical clearance, to accomodate domed roofs and existing factory racks. If you don't need additional clearance, simply use 1A Raingutter Towers. If your vehicle has a tall roof or your truck has an overhang (and you don't already own raingutter towers), you may need additional vertical clearance: check out the Yakima 1A HiRise Towers.
