-- The horizontal clearance for the 2" hitch rack is 8.5 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the back bike rack holder. If you need additional clearance, we recommend a Hitch Extender.

-- The horizontal clearance for the 1.25" hitch rack is 14.5 inches. This should clear just about any spare tire. We do not recommend hitch extenders for use with 1.25" hitches.

Softride, the innovator of hitch mounted bike racks, has released the Access Versa Bike Rack, the most compact and aesthetically pleasing wheel-mounted bike rack on the market. "Our design will change how cycling enthusiasts use their bike racks," says Ryan Allsop, co-president of Softride. "We created a rack that blends rugged and aesthetically pleasing design with absolute versatility it exceeds customer s expectations when they use it." Capable of handling a wide range of bicycles, from children s to full-size adult bikes, the Access Versa Bike Rack folds down when loaded with bikes to provide accessibility to the rear of the vehicle. When the rack is not being used, it tilts up to the rear of the vehicle so it s out of the way. "Our design enables users to keep the rack attached to their vehicle when it s not hauling bikes," says Allsop. "It s so compact that it looks attractive even when folded up and not in use." The Access Versa Bike Rack is made from durable and lightweight cylindrical anodized aluminum tubing and rugged powder coated steel which enables the rack to withstand the conditions outdoor enthusiasts put it through. The anti-rattle tightening hitch bolt with lock, included with the rack, cinches the hitch bar to the side of the receiver wall eliminating sway and instability that normally occurs with other bike racks.
