Roof Base Racks
 Roof Base Racks
Roof Base Racks are the foundation of any successful roof rack system. While they might seem complicated at first glance, any roof rack system can be boiled down into several key components:
1. Foot Packs/Towers -- These support pieces attach on the left and right side of your vehicle, providing the base for your rack setup. In some cases, Fit Kits/Q Clips may be necessary to properly attach your feet.
2. Load Bars/Crossbars -- These run across the top of your vehicle and are secured into the feet on both sides of the vehicle. Two load bars run parallel to provide maximum load stability
3. Clamps/Mounts -- These attach your roof carrier, roof basket rack or roof bag to your load bars. In many cases, clamps are included with your roof carrier, basket or bag.
Our Roof Base Racks catalogue is fully searchable by product type and brand. The two major manufacturers of roof base rack systems are Thule and Yakima. Scroll down to see our current offerings.
