Roof bags have become increasingly popular over the past few years because they provide ample space for your gear and offer several advantages over a hard carrier or basket. These advantages are:

Like hard shelled roof carriers and roof baskets, most roof bags attach to your factory or aftermarket roof rack crossbars. A few models will also attach to raised side rails if your vehicle is not equipped with crossbars.
